Should Obama and Democrats Be Charged & Prosecuted For Fraud?

If an official of the law has knowledge that a fraud is being committed and he or she refuses to stop the fraudulent act, are they an accessory of the crime?

Democrats claim that they will cut $500 billion dollars of abuse and fraud from the Medicare program with their new Health Care Reform Legislation. This statement implies that:

1. They know that fraud is being committed,
2. How it is being committed
3. And the degree of fraud and waste - in terms of dollars is involved.

When a billion dollar crime is being committed and law officials know that the crime being committed but refuse to stop, apprehend or assist with the prosecution of the crime, they are, according to law, an "Accessory After the Fact" and should be prosecutor along with those who committed the crime.

Prosecutors should be asking Obama and the Democrats the following questions: How long have they known about this fraud? Specifically, who is committing this fraud? Was it through their own investigation that they determined that the degree fraud and waste amounted to $500 billion? How long was their investigation? Why haven't they acted on this fraud?

Federal Definition of Accessory After the Fact:

ACCESSORY AFTER THE FACT - Whoever, knowing that an offense has been committed, receives, relieves, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment, is an accessory after the fact; one who knowing a felony to have been committed by another, receives, relieves, comforts, or assists the felon in order to hinder the felon's apprehension, trial, or punishment. U.S.C. 18

Based on this definition, charges against Obama and the Democrats should be made immediately! Why are they waiting to pass health care reform before they act on the alleged fraud? What's the cover up? Either there is $500 billion of fraud and waste or they are lying about it. If there is fraud, both Obama and his Democrat comrades should be prosecuted for "knowing that an offense has been committed... and comforting and assisting the offender" by not stopping it immediately. This makes Obama and the Democrats an accessory to this fraud. What do you think?
