William R. Hawkins: Exclusive: The Treason of ‘Climate Justice’

"The code name for this anti-American effort is 'climate justice.' It is predicated on the notion that the U.S. and other advanced economies in Europe and Japan must step back from their prosperity and lower their living standards while transferring massive amounts of wealth, production capacity and technology to the developing countries. The objective is not to change the climate, but to change the balance of power in the world."

"A district court judge has denied Planned Parenthood's request for a gag order against Abby Johnson, the former director of a Houston-area Planned Parenthood abortion facility who quit her job following a conversion experience."

Jack Hunter: Liberals refuse to admit Obama's policies look a lot like Bush's

"In the meantime, the Left has gone completely nuts. Worshipping a president who promised 'change,' liberals continue to ignore the fact that little has. On foreign policy -- the Left's primary gripe against Bush -- Obama's war mentality is remarkably similar to his predecessor. In drawing down in Iraq, Obama has simply transferred the massive U.S. presence from Iraq to Afghanistan. Meanwhile, controversial war on terror-era measures like the Patriot Act, extraordinary rendition, and warrantless wiretapping remain intact. Notes observant liberal Noam Chomsky, 'As Obama came into office, [former Secretary of State] Condoleezza Rice predicted he would follow the policies of Bush's second term, and that is pretty much what happened, apart from a different rhetorical style.'

"During the Bush years, conservatives loved to portray the outspoken antiwar group 'Code Pink' as a perfect example of liberal wackiness. It turns out conservatives were right, but for reasons even they couldn't have imagined, as the same Code Pink that so vehemently denounced Bush's war in Iraq now supports Obama's war in Afghanistan. Writes Antiwar.com's Justin Raimondo: 'Right on time for the somber eighth anniversary of the Afghanistan war and occupation, Code Pink founder and primary spokeswoman Medea Benjamin has announced that her organization -- which made so many headlines and newscasts protesting "Bush's war" -- is now "rethinking" their position on Afghanistan. A piece in the Christian Science Monitor, which Code Pink is now strenuously trying to spin, reports that the famous antiwar group is seriously amending their position after listening to the views of Afghan women.'

"Bush administration officials and conservative talk radio made the case time and again that the U.S. was simply 'liberating' Iraqis from the oppressive hand of Saddam Hussein. At the time, I can't recall antiwar groups ever considering this argument, yet in supporting Obama's war in Afghanistan, Code Pink is now using the logic of Dick Cheney and Sean Hannity to justify American military intervention in the name of human rights."

Erik Rush: Fort Hood massacre: Just a symptom

"The idea that holding American Muslims accountable for their militancy is somehow an infringement upon protections afforded them by the First Amendment is a perversion of the First Amendment that has been proffered by far-left progressives and gradually adopted by a large segment of Americans. It also runs contrary to concepts of civics that were once universally accepted, and taught in schools
across America.

"What's really doing us in is the suicidal worldview that Americans have been encouraged to adopt by progressives and the establishment press. Political correctness is a component, but it's just one of many devices.

"In the 'perfect world' envisioned by this minority population of ignoble weaklings, nearly everyone holds the worldview of characters in a Woody Allen film – that of grotesquely dysfunctional, narcissistic, New York intellectuals. They know that America is fundamentally malevolent (and therefore, her enemies fundamentally benevolent), that self-preservation is immoral, deviance is normalcy, criminals are victims, parents are interchangeable, lies are truth, and evil is good.

"And the only real enemies anyone on Earth truly has are 'far-right, red-state Neanderthals.'"

Mark Hyman: The Man Who Despises America

"The central conviction of Obama's ideology is that America is guilty of limitless moral failures and is the chief architect of the world's ills. Obama has boundless enmity for America, its key institutions, and its longtime allies. Consider these facts...."

The Rage of the Common Man

"For the Black voter, Obama quickly became an easy sell once Obama won Iowa ( a state made up of mostly Whites). We became willing to ditch all those concerns about the war, the economy, politicians who profited from the same 'evil' corporations they blasted on the campaign stump in order to take part in history. Whites loved him–that is all that mattered. We even took it a step further by suggesting that a vote against Obama was a vote against your own race. So despite all the questions a person may have like 'Why did Obama and his party continue to court lobbyists even after he repeatedly dissed them publicly', your loyalty to your race was now on the line. Shut up and vote. Talk about a vote guarantee!

"When the economy continued to go south after Obama’s promise that his efforts with his stimulus bill would hold unemployment @8%, criticism has been very light to say the least. In fact, when you do hear criticism, it is directed towards the all-encompassing 'government' (even though the listener really know that they are really talking about Obama). When criticisms do make it out of the fold, they are usually confronted with the huge hand of denial that says 'It’s way too early to judge Obama.' In the meantime, when a small committee in Oslo decided to JUDGE Obama and give him a Nobel Peace Prize, it was paraded as another “First” that Blacks everywhere should celebrate. Blacks, just like other ethnic minorities, women, members of the GLBT community, the anti-war crowd, the anti/pro-abortion crowd, the disabled, the poor, the uneducated–you name the group–are nothing more than cards in a deck that are played in the game of politics. It’s never about the card itself. Instead, it is all about how the card can be played to achieve a certain goal. Pilger nails it with this quote:

“'Real activism has little time for identity politics, which, like exceptionalism, can be fake. These are distractions that confuse and sucker good people.'

"The anti-war crowd is only realizing this now.

"This is why I always find it interesting to hear how Republicans feel that by engaging in identity politics based on race like Democrats that somehow they will become more liked. Democrats engage in identity politics based on race all the time, yet they cannot point to one city that has improved as a result of their policies under their authority. They had decades of practice and all they can do is blame the other guy."

Missing George W. Bush

Mind you I never voted for Bush, but this is interesting:

"But at least you always knew that Bush loved America and that he loved Americans. You knew that he valued America's allies even if he didn't always do right by them. You knew that his values were American values.

"You can't say any of that about his successor. And it hurts. It hurts that Barack Hussein Obama's first statement about the massacre at Fort Hood was so emotionally cut off from what happened. It hurts that he thought the most important thing to say about the massacre is that we mustn't jump to conclusions about the motivations of the terrorist who killed his fellow soldiers despite the fact that he was screaming Allah Akhbar as he shot them. It hurts that Obama and his wife treat soldiers like losers who all suffer from PTSD and that the greatest service he can render them is to provide them with free psychiatric care and send them home from Iraq and Afghanistan without first securing victory."

and "For all that he disappointed me, I miss George W. Bush. I really do."

Yep, they miss Bush

They bashed Bush then and now

"Thank you former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush"?

"If you have been reading us for any length of time, you know that we used to make fun of “Dubya” nearly every day…parroting the same comedic bits we heard in our Democrat circles, where Bush is still, to this day, lampooned as a chimp, a bumbling idiot, and a poor, clumsy public speaker.

"Oh, how we RAILED against Bush in 2000…and how we RAILED against the surge in support Bush received post-9/11 when he went to Ground Zero and stood there with his bullhorn in the ruins on that hideous day.

"We were convinced that ANYONE who was president would have done what Bush did, and would have set that right tone of leadership in the wake of that disaster. President Gore, President Perot, President Nader, you name it. ANYONE, we assumed, would have filled that role perfectly.

"Well, we told you before how much the current president, Dr. Utopia, made us realize just how wrong we were about Bush. We shudder to think what Dr. Utopia would have done post-9/11. He would have not gone there with a bullhorn and struck that right tone. More likely than not, he would have been his usual fey, apologetic self and waxed professorially about how evil America is and how justified Muslims are for attacking us, with a sidebar on how good the attacks were because they would humble us.

"Honestly, we don’t think President Gore would have been much better that day. The world needed George W. Bush, his bullhorn, and his indominable spirit that day…and we will forever be grateful to this man for that.

"As we will always be grateful for what George and Laura Bush did this week, with no media attention, when they very quietly went to Ft. Hood and met personally with the families of the victims of this terrorist attack."

Atheists Threaten to Burn Darwin's On the Origin of Species

Atheists are fuming because 170,000 students across the country in America's top 100 universities will be freely given a copy of Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species. Atheist forums are saying "Perhaps we should just call for a book burning!", "In this instance, I would advocate book-burning." "I'm not into burning books, but this one deserves to be." Greg Laden wrote: "Start collecting those bogus-ized copies of Darwin's Origin being distributed by Ray Comfort. We're low on firewood up at the cabin. It's not that I like burning books. But this is not burning books." Comfort, the author of the 50-page Introduction in Darwin's famous book, said, "It would seem that atheists see themselves as the intellectual saviors of those who haven't the brainpower to think for themselves. It was Irish playwright and atheist, George Bernard Shaw, who rightly warned, 'All censorships exist to prevent any one from challenging current conceptions and existing institutions.'" "Twenty years ago this week, the Berlin Wall fell, opening a door to freedom for millions of East Germans who had lived under communism for nearly 50 years. "The con artist is able to gain trust by using the right vocal inflections to fit the mark (or, in Obama’s case, the audience), changing accents and speech patterns to match. Yid with Lid: IG Walpin Fired For Investigating Obama Buddy, Cleared of Any Wrong Doing

:This nasty administration spent much time going after Gerald Walpin personally, who until a few months ago was the inspector general for AmeriCorps. Walpin claims he was fired because he made the mistake of Investigation a friend of Obama (FOB), Kevin Johnson former NBA star who is now mayor of Sacramento, California, for the misuse of AmeriCorps funds.

"Because he was investigating the President's friend, Walpin, whose position as an inspector general is supposed to be protected from political appointees and the White House, was fired. Pressed for a reasoning for the dismissal the Administration trashed Walpin hinting that he was in the early stages of dementia. They said the IG seemed 'disoriented' at one meeting. But Walpin's version of the story was confirmed by a AmeriCorps board member who confirmed that he was fired to protect the Democrats from a political scandal."

Washington Post: Army sought ways to channel Hasan's absorption with Islam

"An Army official also said that Hasan, who is believed to have killed 13 people last week at Fort Hood, Tex., did not formally seek to leave the military as a conscientious objector or for any other reason. It is unclear whether Hasan, whose aunt has said he sought to leave the military, made informal efforts to leave through contacts with his immediate superiors, and if so how his chain of command at lower levels might have responded to such efforts.

"But any formal request by Hasan to separate early would have been submitted to the Department of the Army, according to the official, who saw Hasan's file before it was recently sealed by Army investigators. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case publicly."
