Dear Friends & Colleagues:
I need your help. Didn't the Democrats take control of Congress in 2005 after the 2004 elections? Does this mean that they have had control of Congress for the past five years? Isn't it Congress job to write legislation and approve the budget? If this is true, how can Obama and Democrats blame Bush, who, as President, only have the power to propose budgets, sign legislation that is passed by Congress or veto such legislation?
As Senator, how many laws did Senator Obama and his Democratic colleagues (who controlled Congress) introduce, pass, or sponsor and co-sponsor to head off our economic crisis? during the past five years, how many laws did he (and his colleagues) introduce, pass or sponsor to reform Health Care? How many laws did he and his fellow Democrats pass, sponsor or co-sponsor to create jobs and stop the growth of unemployment that was occuring at that time? Isn't it true that the Democratic controlled Congress had to approve all spending and budgets? Then who is really the blame?
