Kariem A. Haqq: "Uncle Tom"??

"The black Democrats are the real 'sell-outs'! They have sold us out to the slave master Democrat Party with their votes and have put us back on the plantation of 'big government' dependency. The reason that they want to label others as Uncle Toms is to hide their ignorance of themselves. They could never qualify to be an Uncle Tom based upon the ficticious character in 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' which most of them have never read. He was a good man, a strong man, a man full of love, and a God fearing man. It was the black Quimbo and Sambo mentality or behavior that was oppressive towards Uncle Tom and other blacks. They beat and mistreated blacks for the evil inhumane slave master Simon Legree. Eventhough these two degraded black men helped to destroy the lives of black people they turned to Uncle Tom in the end for help and forgiveness. He still had a big enough heart to help them just before he died. Today we have that same Quimbo and Sambo mentality in the so-called 'militant' wing of the black movement who have actucally high-jacked the struggle from the Civil Rights movement. People like Malcolm, Stokley Carmichael, and the Black Panther Party high-jacked the black movement from Martin Luther King and others. They called them Toms, etc. Now the word 'uncle tom' is used to intimidate the weak and ignorant among us to keep them in line and to control them. They have put it in the same category as hypocrite and traitor. But these militant minded brothers and sisters have nothing to offer but fear, hate, racism and violence."
